Under the new contract, Jaguar Land Rover’s fleet operations will become centralised in Upper Heyford to save transport costs and reduce carbon impact – according to Paragon the move will save over 277 tonnes of carbon dioxide in the contract term.

Commenting on the development, Mike Pilkington, managing director at Paragon Automotive said: ‘We hope our work with Jaguar Land Rover will drive up standards across the industry. The new hub at Upper Heyford is an example of how we have put innovation at the heart of our business with the aim of creating greener and more efficient fleets.’

Paragon will provide PDI services for company cars, demonstration and buy-back fleets. It will also cover demonstration services, integrated with Paragon’s own iDemo system that supports vehicles sales at corporate and events programmes from mobile devices.

The programme will also re-engineer the movement of vehicles around the UK to create a more efficient service. Paragon will use its iSight system, which allows real time access to inventories to ensure optimum management of vehicles.
