Following an extremely competitive tender process, SGN, the UK’s second largest gas distribution company, decided that Inchcape Fleet Solutions represented the organisation best suited to provide the totally outsourced fleet management arrangement they required.

The contract will see Inchcape Fleet Solutions provide SGN with a combined fleet of 2,100 cars and light commercial vehicles. With such a large fleet requirement, SGN selected a fleet management provider who could ensure the efficient running of their fleet in order to facilitate the high levels of service delivery that the company is recognised for.

In addition to their fleet, SGN have enlisted Inchcape Fleet Solutions to supply the following ancillary products and services: accident management, motor insurance database management, vehicle management (service, maintenance and repair) and foreign travel arrangements.

From a technological perspective, SGN will also make use of a number of Inchcape Fleet Solutions’ unique online systems: FleetVision, a system designed to facilitate smoother communication between Inchcape Fleet Solutions and its clients, Downtime Management, an award-winning online tool developed to reduce vehicle downtime and a specifically tailored fleet portal, which will allow SGN to keep a tight rein on all fleet activity.
