IFC Fleet Services enhances online vehicle selector with more driver features

The online vehicle selector is policy and grade-specific for each user company, which means that company car drivers can only see the vehicle that they can afford for their given monthly car budget.

If they are able to upgrade for a set amount per month, then they will also be able to see all the models that are available under the upgrade, but not the vehicles above that limit.

At the same time, drivers can view up to three models in a side-by-side comparison, across a range of different features including engine output, CO2 emissions, fuel consumption, whole life costs, tax levels, specification, trim levels, colour and any additional features.

Drivers are also able to ‘up-spec’ the vehicle by adding additional items of specification up to their car budget threshold, or they can remove items of specification to keep them within their budget limit.

At the same time, following customer feedback, IFC has changed the look and feel of the online solution to make it easier to navigate and more user-friendly. There is also the facility to ask questions of either IFC or the supplying dealer through the online selector portal.

Once the driver has selected the vehicle of his or her choice, they are able to order the vehicle online. The fleet can then either send the order directly to the leasing company of their choice in line with their fleet policy, or IFC can manage the process completely on their behalf, using a panel of funders and then selecting the most competitive price based on the bids received.

“Under the new functionality and features of our online vehicle selector, policy adherence for individual companies is guaranteed and drivers cannot stray away from the original policy. This gives companies peace of mind that their fleet policy will always be followed,” said Paul Chater, IFC Group sales director.

“Drivers like the additional features and functionality, because they remove a lot of the strain and hassle of sourcing vehicles from different OEM websites, while also allowing meaningful comparisons on a side-by-side basis.”

IFC will be exhibiting at the Fleet World Fleet Show at Silverstone on 11 May, when one of the key features of its stand will be a demonstration of the new features and functionality of its online vehicle selector.
