ICFM simplifies membership application & payments

By / 10 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

Under the three-stage application process, once new applicants have submitted their online application with their £20 administrative fee payment, their application is reviewed and a grade confirmed appropriate to the role, qualifications and achievements of the applicant within the profession. There are four levels of membership spanning the different levels of experience and qualification in vehicle fleet management – affiliate, associate, member and fellow.

Meawhile, for current members, renewal is a simple two-stage process following receipt of their renewal reminder.

Chairman of the ICFM, Roddy Graham commented: ‘As a Council we are constantly looking at ways of improving our service to existing and new members alike. The facility to apply online for new members through a simpler three-step application process we hope will make membership of the ICFM an even more attractive proposition.

‘Compared to membership of most professional organisations, the institute’s membership fees are more than reasonable and demonstrate excellent value for money. Benefits include a membership certificate and badge, letters after your name, free attendance at the highly praised ICFM annual national members’ conference and access to the Interactive Guide Car Fleet Management, a useful point of reference tool for fleet managers and administrators. Membership of the institute also provides a benchmark for employment within the fleet sector, offering better career prospects and opportunities for development.’

The current cost of membership for affiliate (AffICFM) is £26 per year; associate (AICFM) is £52 per year and member (MICFM) is £62 per year. A fellow (FICFM) of the institute is by election only. For new applicants there is a one-off application fee of £20. Paper member document applications are still accepted.
