Hyundai restructures fleet and business sales operation to drive true fleet success
Hyundai has reorganised its dedicated Fleet and Business sales operation to further drive true fleet sales and to capitalise on its range of electrified vehicles.
Hyundai’s new-look Fleet and Business team is led by head of fleet Tim White
Implemented by head of fleet Tim White, the changes see national corporate sales manager Dominic Gill joined by two new business development managers: Stephen Cassar and Tim Johnson.
Both are new to the brand and bring a wealth of automotive and financing experience. They will be responsible for securing new customer sales to fleets of 100 vehicles or more, supporting the carmaker’s increased presence in large corporate fleets.
Former fleet operations manager John Mahony – who has been with Hyundai since 2004 – now becomes key account manager, focused on customer retention for some of the largest customer accounts.
Liam Bennett also joins the team as key account manager, working alongside Mahony but with a specialist focus on emergency services and government fleet sales.
The introduction of the new-look team follows a successful 2021 that saw the brand’s true fleet sales more than double. It’s also completely overhauled its website with an all-new fleet section that includes whole-life cost calculators, BiK rates and competitor comparison tools.
Its ever-increasing focus on fleets also brings a virtual account manager team that has doubled and a Fleet Aftersales Charter that guarantees affordable costs and quick service.
Andrew Tracey, sales director, said: “This period for Hyundai in the UK is transformational. With Ioniq 5 – the current World Car of the Year – leading our line-up of fleet-friendly EVs, ably supported by advanced plug-in hybrids, we’re doing all that we can to ensure our fleet team continues to meet the demand and expectations from our customers.
“Led by Tim White, this new team provides more flexibility, ensuring we remain agile to meet customer needs.”
