Hyundai i30 Tourer to bring emissions from 95g/km

Hyundai’s new i30 estate will offer boot space among the best in the class along with a best-in-class standard safety package and emissions from 95g/km when it goes on sale later this year.

The second model in the new i30 family alongside the hatch, the new Tourer make its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show and will bring the same wheelbase as the hatch but is 245mm longer. It will also offer one of the biggest boots in its sector, with 602 litres on offer, rising to a maximum 1,650 litres with additional storage space beneath the boot floor split into several compartments.

The new i30 estate will also bring a claimed best-in-class standard safety package with Autonomous Emergency Braking, Driver Attention Alert, High Beam Assist and Lane Keeping Assist System always on board.

On-board tech includes a new-generation navigation system with eight-inch touch screen and connectivity features such Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and LIVE Services.

Engine line-up covers two petrol engines – including Hyundai’s new 138bhp 1.4 T-GDI turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine and a new 118bhp three-cylinder 1.0 T-GDI – along with a 108bhp 1.6-litre turbo diesel engine that offers 78.5mpg and 95g/km according to preliminary values.
