Hyundai announces pricing & spec for new i20 Coupe

Tony Whitehorn, president and CEO of Hyundai Motor UK, commented: ‘The addition of the New Generation i20 Coupe means that the i20 range now has a sportier edge, boosting its appeal to younger audiences. It offers a bold exterior design, comfortable and spacious interior and generous standard equipment – which will appeal to a broader audience in the segment.’

Designed, developed and built in Europe, the new three-door supermini will be produced at Hyundai’s Turkish manufacturing plant in Izmit, alongside the five-door i20.

The three-door model will be marked out with a different grille and bumper as well as bespoke “Tangerine Orange” paint. It also brings a best-in-class boot space of 336 litres – up 10 litres on the five-door model.

Prices start at £12,725 for the entry-level SE trim, which includes standard features such as 16-inch alloy wheels; Bluetooth connectivity; cruise control with speed limiter; rear parking sensors; and rear spoiler.

Priced from £13,725, the Sport derivative brings 17-inch alloy wheels; automatic lights; auto dimming review mirror; climate control with auto defog; and privacy glass.

The Sport Nav model adds integrated satellite navigation with 7-inch touch screen, rear view camera and DAB radio for £14,400.

The model also brings two new trim levels – Premium Nav and Premium SE Nav – both of which feature Hyundai’s integrated satellite navigation with 7-inch touchscreen, DAB radio and rear view camera. Premium Nav, based on the Premium derivative, is available from £14,400, while Premium SE Nav is available from £15,400.

Two engines are on offer: a 1.2-litre petrol with an output of 83bhp and a 1.4-litre diesel engine delivering up to 89bhp. The petrol is mated to a five-speed manual transmission, while the diesel comes with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard.

The i20 Coupe will be available in Hyundai showrooms across the UK from 26 March 2015.
