The Newbury-based business recently signed specialist recruitment agency Matchtech Group and brewers Charles Wells Group for fully outsourced fleet management and funding. 

Both Matchtech Group, which runs a fleet of 110 cars, and Charles Wells Group, with a fleet of 120 cars, have handed over their fleet and driver administration needs to Hitachi Capital, citing the E-commerce platform and smartphone apps as key to the decision to partner with Hitachi Capital. 

Robert Wastell, divisional managing director of Hitachi Capital Car Solutions, commented: ‘We have seen a rising trend for customers looking to outsource their car fleet management in recent months; our customers are looking to subcontract certain parts of their business operations in order to sustain output without impacting on productivity levels.

‘This is where we come in, working in partnership with companies like Matchtech Group and Charles Wells to handle all driver contact and free up valuable internal HR and fleet management employees.’

The new client wins come as Hitachi reports two clients renewals, in the form of the Lavendon Group and the Daily Mail and General Trust, following competitive tenders.
