HiQ hits £50,000 target for Breast Cancer Care

By / 14 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

The fast fit network says that it hit the five-figure target last season, thanks in the main to the kind hearts of BTCC supporters, who gave generously to the cause throughout the 2009 season.

An official presentation to Breast Cancer Care took place at Brands Hatch, featuring some of the stars of the grid, along with HiQ officials.

The news comes at the perfect time for HiQ, which is celebrating a new sponsorship with the BTCC, following a successful two-year period as title sponsors of the UK's most popular motor racing series.

HiQ's marketing manager Geraldine McGovern said: 'We are absolutely over the moon to have reached the £50,000 for Breast Cancer Care.

'We launched this partnership at the 2009 media day at Rockingham, when drivers all donned their pink wigs especially for the occasion. It really is a special feeling to be at the 2010 media day, being able to tell those drivers, and every fan up and down the UK, that we have raised £50,000.'

She added: 'We are half way to our £100,000 target now, which we hope to reach by the end of the year. We have found that the charity fits perfectly with what we are trying to achieve at HiQ. Our aim is to become the "fast fit company you can be sure of" and our charity partnership will allow us to reach into the family market and educate them about us, while raising thousands of pounds for Breast Cancer Care in the process.'
