Hertz signs up Autoglass

Hertz has named Autoglass as its preferred supplier for glass repairs and replacements.

Autoglass is able to perform ADAS recalibration at a designated Hertz location or one of the 70 centres that it operates around the UK

Under the deal, Autoglass will be the first point of call for all vehicle glass repair and replacement (VGRR) services to the entire Hertz UK fleet.

It follows a competitive tender process, which saw Autoglass outline its commitment to significantly reduce vehicle downtime and its provision of a one-stop-shop solution for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which means Autoglass can perform ADAS recalibration at a designated Hertz location or one of the 70 centres that it operates around the UK.

A further key factor in the deal was the Autoglass business support team who centrally manage the day-to-day requirements, providing greater consistency, appointment tracking and improved communication.

Richard Davies – GM, Hertz UK, said: “With a fleet as vast and diverse as ours, it is of the utmost importance that vehicle downtime is minimised. The significant reduction in vehicle downtime offered by Autoglass was a prominent factor in our decision to select them as our primary supplier for vehicle glass.”
