Greentomatocars drivers make GreenRoad Fleet Elite list
Drivers at eco private hire firm Greentomatocars have been recognised for their safe and fuel-efficient driving under the GreenRoad scheme.
A total of 19 of the firm’s drivers achieved Fleet Elite status in 2016 after meeting the criteria of 500 or more driving hours across the year whilst maintaining a consistent Safety Score of 5 or less safety events, such as harsh braking or acceleration, per 10 hours of driving over the calendar year.
The GreenRoad system is installed in the majority of greentomatocars’ vehicles and gives drivers real-time feedback on their driving manoeuvres using a traffic-light LED system on the dashboard.
Greentomatocars operates a performance bonus scheme whereby drivers can earn an additional weekly payment based on both their telematics safety score and feedback from passengers. Many of the company’s Fleet Elite drivers are earning an additional £1,300 per annum.
Sophie Jacobsen, head of service delivery in Greentomatocars, said: “Smoother, fuel-efficient driving is safer, provides more comfortable journeys for our customers and helps cut our carbon footprint – this is especially important to us as London’s original ethical car service.”
