GKL Leasing to expand following merger with Windsor
GKL Leasing (GKL) has merged with Windsor Vehicle Leasing as it looks to expand further.
The transaction, which has been approved by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), has taken the form of GKL acquiring 100% of the shares in Windsor Vehicle Leasing.
In a statement, GKL said the two companies have much in common and the rationale for the deal was based largely upon natural synergies, such as both companies having a total commitment to customer care and communication.
GKL operates from a purpose-built freehold business hub in Chesterfield and has in the past month moved its southern office to Princes Risborough where it has recently built an additional freehold business hub.
The firms said they would work closely together to make customers’ experience second to none and to maintain or improve personal relationship with customers.
The deal will also see best practices come under review and both firms will explore efficiencies that can be made without affecting customer service. They also said they would improve traction with manufacturers and other suppliers.
Philip Smith and Ben Newton will remain as directors of Windsor Vehicle Leasing with Richard Kenning, managing director of GKL, joining the board of directors.
