In this newly created role, Mr Tommaso assumes responsibility for Kia's Pan-European Operations in Network Development, Business Management, Customer Satisfaction and Kia Sales Academy in addition to his previous responsibilities for Fleet, Remarketing and Residual Value.

He will report directly to Bernard Bradley, Kia Motors Europe's Vice President Sales.

Born in Italy, Mr Tommaso graduated in Economics. He has a wealth of experience in the automotive and fleet industries, with a deep knowledge of Sales and Marketing along with familiarity of Asiatic companies. He joined Kia-Hyundai Motors Group in 2007, becoming the first person charged with responsibility of the Kia European Head Quarter for Fleet & Remarketing, with the task to define the long-term strategy and achieving a more balanced mix retail-fleet.

In recent years, his main achievements have been an increase in the fleet share (+26%), the signature of Pan-European agreements in the Rent a Car and Operational Leasing sectors, the implementation of the "Kia Approved" Used Cars programme (which is now being run in eight countries), a reduction in the Used Cars stock of 30% and the improvement of three points in the residual value of the new Kia cee'd.

Before Kia he worked for Nissan Italy and Ford Motor Company, where he was fully involved in the start-up of the Mazda Motor Italy organisation.

Kia Motors Europe says it is currently recruiting for Mr Tommaso's former position of Fleet & Remarketing Manager and will be making an announcement soon.
