G3 Remarketing says inaugural online commercial sale is a success
The company launched its CV programme with a full spectrum of vehicles and says online activity was strong, with 68 registered buyers actively taking part in the sale and over 300 individual bids made. Conversion exceeded 80%, with overall CAP exceeding 100% of guide.
Terry McDonald, commercial sales manager, said: 'We took the decision to pool our commercial stock and develop dedicated LCV online auctions earlier this year. The first sale in December appears to have confirmed our decision was the correct one.'
As a result, G3 Remarketing is to launch a fortnightly LCV online auction from 2011, with all stock direct from fleet, leasing and finance companies.
Mr McDonald added: 'There is still demand for commercial stock and the pending VAT increase along with a shortage of desirable examples continues to propel the market.'
The firm also says that it's been well placed to capitalise on the recent weather conditions, which have been buyers struggle to attend physical auctions.
'More commercial buyers are turning to electronic purchasing platforms to acquire stock and G3 Remarketing is ideally placed to take full advantage,' commented Mr McDonald.
