Free workshop programme to help local authorities with low-emission transport policies

Local authorities are being invited to sign up to free best practice workshops that can help them implement low emission transport policy and wider Mobility as a Service (MaaS) schemes.

77% of fleet journeys could be completed by battery electric vehicles, according to ALD.

The free workshops will help local authorities looking to deploy low-emission transport policies to improve air quality

Funded by the Department for Transport and run by the Energy Saving Trust, the Local Government Support Programme is running a series of events in March to bring together local authorities to gather feedback on the key issues they face in implementing ULEV and air quality policy.

These events will allow individuals to share best practice through discussion groups, learn about what other authorities are doing, share ideas and projects and help to develop some inter-authority working.

The events are free, and dates have been announced in Derby, Bristol, Manchester, Guildford and Newcastle.
