Free DriveTech webinar to help fleets reduce driver road risks

A free-to-attend webinar that can help fleets reduce driver risks is being hosted by DriveTech next month.

In the UK alone, more than 400 casualties occur on the roads every day, while a fatality is recorded every 24 seconds around the world

The webinar on ‘The Global Language of Road Safety and Why it Matters’ takes place on Thursday 4 March at 2pm GMT (3pm CET) and will look at how the global language of road safety is a topic of primary importance within the motor industry, accompanied by a new white paper covering the same subject and including practical steps for reducing driving risk.

In the UK alone, more than 400 casualties occur on the roads every day, while a fatality is recorded every 24 seconds around the world.

Madelon Jansen, international business development manager at DriveTech, will be joined by special guests Dr Shaun Helman, chief scientist (data, behaviour and mobility) at the Transport Research Laboratory; and Brian Nixon, AECOM’s group safety, health and environment manager.

Key areas of discussion will include the reality of global road safety, alongside the roles of communication and behavioural change in reducing fatalities.

Colin Paterson, head of marketing at DriveTech, commented: “Keeping people safe on the roads sits at the heart of everything we do at DriveTech. In our upcoming webinar, we will be joined by leading names from the motoring industry, who will share their extremely valuable insight with attendees.

“As we begin to recover from the long-term impacts of Covid-19, commuters will soon return to travelling. Businesses should see this as a fresh start – but also an opportunity to better communicate road safety and influence how employees behave behind the wheel.

“Our webinar will provide decision makers with insight, information and techniques to help further improve fleet safety.”
