Former AA DriveTech sales director Richard Hill joins DriverMetrics

In his new role, Hill will manage the organisation's growing UK and international customer base of multinationals such as Shell, Unilever and Balfour Beatty through to smaller domestic fleet clients.

He brings over 20 years of experience in the fleet risk management industry. At AA DriveTech he headed up business development and channel partner operations, and prior to this he held executive roles at Peak Performance (acquired by the AA) and RAC.

Commenting on his new role, Richard Hill said: “My move to DriverMetrics is a very natural one, having worked closely with Dr Lisa Dorn and the team at Cranfield University for the past 10 years during my time with the Peak Performance business.”

“Over the years I have had the opportunity to work with some of the UK’s leading fleet operators and motor fleet insurers in the area of driver behaviour, so I am really pleased to be able to continue this work with the DriverMetrics business. My aim is to work with the team to create a truly unique and class-leading proposition, which will enable us to push the business forward to the next level, not just here in the UK, but on a global basis.”

DriverMetrics’ CEO, Nick Rowley added: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Richard to the DriverMetrics team. With his long established relationship with the DriverMetrics through his time at both Peak and AA DriveTech, Richard is uniquely qualified to help lead our new strategy for building the company into the preeminent provider of global behaviour based risk management solutions for drivers.”

“With DriverMetrics developing the next generation of products to service our international client base, bringing together the technological skills within the group and combining them with the rigorous scientific base developed by Lisa Dorn at Cranfield, Richard is going to be instrumental in shaping the new user experience and the entire team look forward to working with him to build the best products in our space.”
