Ford adds new Titanium X Business Edition to Mondeo line-up

By / 11 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

The new Mondeo Titanium X Business Edition follows the launch of the Zetec Business Edition and replaces the Titanium X. The new trim offers a £1,500 price reduction compared to the outgoing model to £21,995. Yet thanks to its higher equipment, RVs are actually up five percentage points. Technology and luxury features include touchscreen satellite navigation, front and rear parking sensors, and full leather trim.

At the same time, Ford is offering a new entry-level Graphite model aimed at retail buyers and priced from £15,995. Spec on this model includes Graphite’s standard 17in alloys, LED daytime running lamps, body colour bumpers, door handles and mirrors plus rear spoiler.

Alongside the trim changes, Ford has recalibrated its 2.0-litre Duratorq diesel engine and optimised aerodynamics. As a result, the model will now offer CO2 emissions from 119g/km across both 140PS and 163PS power outputs – a reduction of up to 10g/km that now means it qualifies for reduced Bik as well as  annual road tax of just £30 compared to £105 before. Fuel consumption is improved from 57.6mpg to 61.4mpg.

‘Our engineers worked hard to deliver a leading combination of power and low CO2 emissions that offers customers great real-world fuel efficiency – and Mondeo’s famous driving quality,’ said Barb Samardzich, Ford Europe Product Development vice president.
