FMG launches new and enhanced Risk Solution

FMG has launched its new Risk Solution tool to help businesses take control of road risk and help improve driver safety.

Dave Parry, commercial director, FMG

Created after research found that customers are having to deal with “too much data”, from disparate data sources and in varying data formats, FMG’s Risk Solutions can provide a fully configurable service to assess and manage the risk of a fleet or a driving community.

The new solution combines risk advisory services and insights with leading technology and tools, all founded upon the execution of a 3A’s framework – the risk is assessed, the data is analysed, and actionable insight is generated from the consolidation and normalisation of multiple data sources.

Risk management services cover the full spectrum, across all vehicle dynamics: grey fleet, cars, LCVs, HGVs and alternative fuel vehicles, with the provision of a full range of risk features from a panel of partners. Solutions vary from a fully outsourced white-labelled fleet-wide risk portfolio to individual driver training.

It’s built upon the cornerstone of the new FMG Indicate risk management portal, which collects the data created – either from one of the panel or a client’s existing supplier and including telematics, fuel card, leasing and risk data. This is then aggregated, normalised and simplified it to provide a single view of the risk of the fleet or driver community and clear indications for any actions that can be taken to continue to effectively mitigate their risk profile.

Benefits include cost savings, improved safety and engagement of the driver community.

It builds on the firm’s existing working on risk management, dating back some 35 years and its establishment in 2012 of a dedicated team to support clients in highlighting and mitigating road risk.

Dave Parry, FMG commercial director and the lead on the project over the last 18 months, commented: “The whole project has been hugely exciting – working hand in glove with our clients to drive enhancements that will help them overcome real challenges in promoting fleet safety. Whether new or existing clients, we are confident that the new and enhanced Risk Solutions will help analyse and manage existing data more optimally and provide insight into how and where to invest both time and resource to generate the best return, reduce incidents and enhance driver safety.”
