Fleets to benefit from Zenith training initiative with Alton Cars

By / 11 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

Zenith’s Accident Management team manages over 32,000 cars and commercial vehicles in-house from the company’s Leeds office and the new Bodyshop Environment Training programme enables members of the team to spend two days at the Alton Cars Leeds site to gain a comprehensive overview of the repair process from start to finish.

The first day is spent understanding how the body shop interacts with Zenith’s customers, from receiving new instructions to handing over a repaired vehicle. The second day involves Zenith employees working with Alton Cars’ ATA VDA accredited engineer to obtain a better understanding of how the repair process aligns with PAS125 industry accreditation and the importance of having method statements to ensure the safe repair of the vehicle. he employees review the repair process in action, from the Engineer requesting authority to approval from Zenith, to parts being ordered and repairs carried out.

The partnership will continue to evolve in order to develop more streamlined processes and centralised deployment of repairs to provide an improved customer and driver experience.

Richard Auty, head of accident management at Zenith, commented: ‘This programme is proving valuable within our business as it provides an excellent insight into the day to day technical world of the body repairer. Working through each body shop department allows our team to understand the issues encountered and as a result improves the overall experience we deliver to our clients.’
