The Commitment is a voluntary pledge made by businesses operating company cars and vans to implement a series of key actions specified by the fleet road safety campaign, in line with current legislation and guidance from the Health and Safety Executive.

Peter Golding, managing director at FleetCheck, said the company will promote the Commitment to its user base in fleet reviews and also as part of its ongoing communications with customers.

He added: “The Commitment is an excellent way for businesses to introduce a bedrock of fundamental measures that will help to make a safe and legally compliant culture an essential part of their fleet operations.”

Simon Turner, campaign manager at DFBB, added: “We have a target of signing up fleets totalling one million drivers to the Driving for Better Business Safety Commitment, so forming partnerships such as this one with FleetCheck are very important to us.”
