FleetCheck adds in Autodata service interval data

Operators using FleetCheck’s fleet management software can now benefit from free manufacturer service alerts for both cars and vans.

Peter Golding, managing director, FleetCheck

Peter Golding, MD, FleetCheck, says it can prove hard to find vehicle servicing interval data.

The firm has added in manufacturer service and cambelt interval information from Autodata for 142 manufacturers and 34,000 models, meaning fleets will be able to see when the next service is due for each vehicle alongside other crucial service and maintenance compliance information such as the road tax due date.

Peter Golding, managing director at FleetCheck, said that it can surprisingly difficult to find accurate information for vehicles on variable service intervals.

He added: “Sometimes, manufacturers even change the length of service intervals on the same models from model year to model year in response to technical changes or real-world operational experience, so it is something of a minefield.”

Key reasons for fleets to ensure service intervals are adhered to include duty of care and to ensure the validity of the manufacturer warranty, to meet the SMR standards set by the leasing company.
