Fleet World Show: Jaguar F-Type to make headline appearance

By / 11 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

Launched at last year's Paris Auto Show, the all-aluminium two-seater rear-wheel drive convertible goes on sale later this spring in three models – F-TYPE, F-TYPE S and the F-TYPE V8 S – powered respectively by Jaguar's new 3.0-litre V6 supercharged petrol engine in 335bhp and 375bhp outputs and its 5.0-litre V8 supercharged petrol producing 488bhp.

As well as being able to get up close and personal with a display model of the much-anticipated successor to the iconic E-Type, fleet decision-makers attending the show will be able to test-drive the entire Jaguar range, from the recently revised Jaguar XF saloon to the new Jaguar XF Sportbrake, which offers added load-carrying practicality without sacrificing style or driving pleasure. The Jaguar XJ will also be available to drive for those who have yet to experience its amazing combination of agility and luxuriousness, while the sleek Jaguar XK will remind attendees of its impressive style, comfort and GT pace.

Land Rover will also have a packed vehicle line-up available to drive at the Show. The All-New Range Rover will be available to drive in both 3.0-litre and 4.4-litre diesel engine variants. And alongside the award-winning Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Discovery will be the recently revised Freelander. These cars will be available to test on both the F1 circuit and the Stowe circuit.

In total, the Fleet World Fleet Show, which takes place on Wednesday 24th April, will feature a 200-model line-up from 21 manufacturers that will be available for driving on the Silverstone Grand Prix and Stowe circuits and on test drive routes in the area, providing an excellent opportunity to properly assess their capabilities for fleets.

Meanwhile the indoor exhibition area will include a stand from CENEX, the Centre of Excellence for Low Carbon and Fuel Cell Technologies. CENEX is an independent, not for profit consultancy with UK-leading expertise in monitoring, evaluating and predicting the real-world performance of low carbon vehicles.

The company’s consultancy services includes:

  • Technology Reviews; which provide an initial assessment of the range of low carbon vehicle technologies that may be suitable for use within a fleet operation.
  • Technology Simulations; which provide an accurate analysis of the most appropriate low carbon vehicle technologies within real-world fleet operations, through the use of our sophisticated fleet simulation software tool.

In addition, Rob Anderson of CENEX will be participating in the expert line-up for the seminar programme. Rob will explain some of the latest low-carbon developments the centre is currently testing and how these will impact on fleets in years to come.

Sponsored by ARI Fleet UK, the seminar programme also includes presentations from the Centre for Automotive Industry Research at Cardiff Business School; the University of Birmingham’s Centre for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Research; and global automotive consultancy, Ricardo.
