Fleet World Group hosts EV Showcase event
The Electric Vehicle Showcase has been organised by Fleet World Group in conjunction with the UK leasing industry’s trade association, the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association, and is sponsored by the Energy Saving Trust.
The event takes place on Tuesday 22 March at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull, West Midlands and will feature a morning-long conference when industry experts will discuss some of the key developments within the electric vehicle market, including their taxation, cost of ownership, future residual values and maintenance.
After the conference, delegates will have the opportunity to examine in detail some of the very latest electric vehicles from leading motor manufacturers, including Renault, Vauxhall, Citroen, and Mitsubishi, as well as offerings from specialist manufacturer Allied Vehicles.
The latest electric vehicles will be on show in the exhibition area, including the Renault Kangoo ZE and Fluence ZE, Vauxhall Ampera, Mitsubishi i-MiEV and Citroen EVIE, so that delegates can gauge for themselves just how effective this new generation of electric vehicle actually is.
A number of electric vehicles will be also available for test drives in the immediate area.
Fleet World Group managing editor, Ross Durkin, said: 'We already have around 200 delegates from the UK leasing industry along with major fleet decision-makers booked in for the conference in the morning, which is now sold-out – although late comers can register to go on a reserve list. Between them, our audience represents around 1.5m company vehicles and includes captains of industry.
'On the exhibition side of the event, there is the opportunity for delegates to see for themselves how the new generation of electric cars look and feel, and we are hoping to have a limited number of test drive opportunities in the locality.'
