Fleet World Fleet: Vauxhall Combo Life Energy XL 7-seater 1.5 Turbo D

The Combo Life remains a faithful stead, says Curtis Hutchinson.

The Combo Life is starting to make sense as a fleet proposition, including onboard space and fuel consumption

Three months in and the Combo Life XL is making sense as a fleet proposition. While it will not be top of user-chooser desirability lists it will play a role on taxi and chauffeur fleets and as a Motability vehicle.

The Combo Life XL’s USP is its supersize dimensions; this Vauxhall really is a proper seven seater, capable of accommodating a full compliment of adults and their gear.

The vehicle’s power-to-weight ratio is found wanting when immediate acceleration is required but otherwise the 1.5-litre diesel engine performs adequately and delivers a frugal 51.3mpg in practice.

P11D (BiK): £22,400 (31%) MPG/CO2: 49.5-51.4mpg (WLTP) /115g/km (NEDC Correlated) Test MPG: 51.3mpg
