Fleet World Fleet Show: Vauxhall Mokka/ADAM and EV hot rod to make appearance

By / 11 years ago / Latest News / No Comments

The new Vauxhall Mokka and ADAM duo are already proving a popular addition to Vauxhall’s line-up and the Fleet World Fleet Show on Wednesday 24th April will give fleet decision-makers the ideal opportunity to put them to the test, both on public roads and on both the Grand Prix and Stowe racing circuits. They will be joined by a large number of other models from 21 manufacturers, with a total of 200 models to be present.

Meanwhile, the Fleet Show indoor exhibition area in the Silverstone Wing will give fleets a pre-eminent opportunity to speak with some of the leading fleet suppliers. This includes npower, which will not only be advising fleets on the latest electric vehicle charging options but also providing the chance to find out more about a mission to produce Europe’s fastest street legal electric vehicle, which the company is sponsoring.

Located at Stand H3 in Hall 3, npower’s stand will play host to motoring journalist and television presenter Jonny Smith and his “Flux Capacitor” Enfield 8000, one of Britain’s first ever-mass produced EVs.

This vehicle has now been restored and modified with the aim of racing on the quarter mile drag strip and breaking the current British record for a street-legal EV.

In addition, as a market leader in the development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, npower will provide visitors with the chance to speak to its expert team to gain information and advice around fully integrated solutions for vehicle chargers, installation and charge point management systems.

npower has recently introduced electric vehicles into its own metering fleet and has developed an effective fleet management systems to monitor and reimburse employees for charging their vehicles at home and track charging activity at depots or office locations. This means its experts at the show can give plenty of advice and examples of the benefits offered by EVs.

Jonathan Woodthorpe, head of e-mobility for npower, commented: ‘The Fleet Show at Silverstone provides an ideal opportunity for us to speak with fleet managers and understand their current challenges, while showing how electric vehicles can provide significant opportunities for those looking for a cost-effective and eco-friendly option.

Fleets of all sizes should be looking to embrace current electric car charging infrastructure solutions to meet changing employee behaviour and drive a more sustainable long-term transport future.

Whether you are looking for expert advice, examples of the latest charging technology or just fancy chatting to Jonny about his ambitious mission, we are sure our stand will have something for you!’

That’s not all either. As well as hosting an extensive seminar programme, the event will also offer fleets a “Question Time” style panel discussion session where delegates will be able to question a panel of specially selected guests on a wide range of fleet topics. This will be hosted by Venson Automotive Solutions for the second year running.

And the culmination of the conference programme will be a Fleet & Mobility Workshop, chaired by Nigel Trotman, head of strategic consultancy at international leasing company, Alphabet.

At the same time, the final of the Fleet Driver of the Year competition, organised by ALD Automotive in conjunction with Peak Performance and Toyota & Lexus Fleet Services, will be held live at the Show.
