Fleet World Fleet: SEAT Mii Electric

It’s fair to say that Covid-19 has had a massive impact on our economy, with fleets amongst the many businesses required to change radically to cope with the transition to working from home.

With the SEAT Mii Electric, the company car driver saves big on BiK

P11d (BiK): £22,745 (0%) CO2: 0g/km Test MPG: 26.9mpg Range: 160 miles Test Range/MPkWh: 179 miles/5.4mpkWh

We don’t yet know how long this will last, but it has become apparent to many already that working from home can work, and consequently there are companies and fleets that have had to adopt a new approach.

The SEAT Mii Electric fits well into this new world, with the ability to not only save fleets on fuel and SMR costs, as has been detailed before, but also the company car driver saves big on BiK.

Domestic electricity isn’t free, however, and the cost will soon add up. It may only be around £6 to ‘fill up’ the battery to cover around 160-miles range (our car is delivering slightly more efficiency), but it is crucial to monitor this when not able to use a traditional fuel card. Smart chargers can keep you informed of electricity usage and expenditure, so it’s well worth investing in one rather than relying on the three-pin ‘granny’ lead; as I’ll detail in my next update when we get a Pod Point installed.
