Fleet World Fleet: Citroën C5 Aircross PureTech 180 Flair Plus

The C5 Aircross is gripping stuff, says Martyn Collins.

Our Citroën SUV comes with Grip Control

There’s no four-wheel drive option available on the C5 Aircross, but we’ve got the next best thing fitted to our Citroën SUV in the form of Grip Control. Basically, a multi-modal intelligent traction control system, Grip Control’s job is to improve the C5’s traction on difficult surfaces such as mud and snow.

It works via the C5’s Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) to maintain the best possible traction from the front wheels via five different modes, selectable via the circular controller. A £400 option on our car, it promises added security as we head into the more unsettled winter weather

P11D (BiK): £30,605 (29%) MPG/CO2: 55.1 (WLTP) /124g/km (NEDC Correlated) Test MPG:42mpg
