Fleet risk and safety management specialist Fleet Source has formed a dedicated ‘Innovations Group’, tasked with identifying and developing latest products and services and expanding into new sectors and international markets.

L-R: Fleet Source’s Nick Caesari, Steve Steele, Gareth Fussell

The new group comprises an eight-strong team, underpinned by Steve Steele as newly appointed director of innovation. He brings more than 30 years of transport experience in both private and public sectors, including nearly 15 years at Transport for London, where he’s credited with developing several schemes, including being the architect of the FORS accreditation scheme.

He was most recently at transport pollution reduction specialist, EMSOL, which he co-founded and where he was director and chief operation officer.

Steele will be joined by head of innovation delivery, Gareth Fussell, who has spent the last 19 years working in the rail transport sector and will be responsible for leading and managing all innovation delivery programmes.

Fleet Source CEO, Nick Caesari said: “Steve and Gareth join Fleet Source at a very exciting time as we roll out innovative training programmes and utilise our auditing expertise to support data driven decisions and initiatives.  We’re confident that under Steve’s guidance, the team will see the diversification and expansion of our product portfolio and entry into new international markets.”
