2018 Fleet Heroes finalists and conference line-up revealed

The Energy Saving Trust has revealed the finalists for next month’s Fleet Heroes Awards while also announcing the conference speakers, which include the Department for Transport’s deputy director, head of environment strategy.

Fleet Heroes 2018

The awards and conference will spotlight the latest developments in sustainable fleet management

Taking place on Tuesday 27 November 2018 at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in central London, the Fleet Heroes Awards & Conference will recognise the latest developments being made in cleaner, safer more efficient transport.

The awards section – now in its 13th year – will see nine trophies up for grabs, including the Fleet Hero accolade, sponsored by Fleet World as media partner, and the Unsung Fleet Hero. Finalists (see full list here) include Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Dundee City Council while the shortlist for the Unsung Fleet Hero includes Norman Harding, London Borough of Hackney and Alexis Percival, Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

Taking place on the same day, the Fleet Heroes Conference (see full details here) will include expert speakers such as the Department for Transport’s Bob Moran – deputy director, head of environment strategy; Innovate UK’s Mark Thompson; Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s Oz Choudri; Mini UK’s David George; UK Power Network’s Ian Cameron; and Caroline Sandall from ESE Consulting.

Matthew Eastwood, head of transport at Energy Saving Trust, commented: “The event offers the perfect opportunity to network with like-minded leaders in the industry and hear from expert speakers on how the latest developments will impact fleet practice in the coming years. With less than a month to go until this flagship transport event, places are filling fast so I’d encourage people to book their free place soon.”
