Fleet Heroes 2019 finalists revealed

The Energy Saving Trust has revealed the finalists for this year’s Fleet Heroes, including well-known fleet names, ranging from DPD and Brecon Beacons National Park Authority to Volkswagen Financial Services and the Environment Agency.

This year’s Fleet Heroes Awards will once again recognise those organisations at the forefront of eco fleet developments

The finalists (see full list below) have been announced ahead of this year’s Fleet Heroes Awards & Conference, which takes place on Thursday 28 November at the National Gallery, Trafalgar Square in central London, and will see the final winners revealed.

As well as the Awards, the EST’s flagship event will also bring together transport experts, business and government to discuss fleet sustainability and innovation, ultra-low emission vehicles and air quality in the conference – which precedes the Awards and is free to attend.

Speakers include SSE Enterprise’s Kevin Walstead; Highways England’s Chris Plumb; C40 Cities’ Caroline Watson, City of York Council’s Dave Atkinson; PSA Group’s Helen Lees and Neil Madgwick of UK Power Network (see full line-up here).

Tim Anderson, head of transport at the Energy Saving Trust, said: “Now in its fourteenth year, Fleet Heroes celebrates the best sustainable practices across the transport industry and the achievements of businesses, organisations and local authorities implementing them in the journey towards zero emissions. An exceptional shortlist of finalists from the length and breadth of the UK have been selected by our panel of independent judges, making the unveiling of the winners on awards night a truly inspirational one! The Fleet Heroes Awards & Conference also offers a great opportunity to network with a range of professionals from across the sector and hear the latest from expert speakers. We are filling those places and I would encourage people to register for their free place soon.”
