Fleet firms team up to offer one-stop-shop for humanitarian fleets

After meeting at this year’s Fleet Forum conference in Geneva, the two firms have announced that they will partner up to combine Chevin's web-based FleetWave software with GlobalTrack’s vehicle tracking technology to offer a one-stop-shop for humanitarian fleets.

A real-time data feed from GlobalTrack’s on-vehicle telematics units will automatically update fleet information within FleetWave. Details on asset location and mileage will be seamlessly integrated from vehicle tracking technology and FleetWave, significantly reducing manual input to facilitate accurate reporting.

Ashley Sowerby, MD of Chevin, commented: 'Since Chevin was established over 20 years ago, it has worked with some of the world’s most acclaimed NGOs. Our new partnership with GlobalTrack enables us to share this expertise and offer our client base the complete solution for their fleets.'

Pieter Smits, CEO of GlobalTrack, added: 'We share many clients with Chevin, so it makes sense to consolidate our approach in order to provide a more coherent package that will have enhanced capabilities, and ultimately result in a cost reduction for the end user.'
