Fleet Evolution underscores company benefits of salary sacrifice

Deploying salary sacrifice schemes can bring recruitment and retention benefits to businesses by opening up the benefits of company cars to employees who aren’t eligible for such vehicles, according to Fleet Evolution.

Research by the car benefits specialist shows 82% of employees who have taken a car through the firm’s salary sacrifice car schemes have never run a new car before and that typically, they were driving used cars of up to 10 years old. The switch to newer cars can reduce downtime and improve productivity, benefiting the company as well as the driver.

Managing director Andrew Leech said: “Consumers as a whole are demanding greater convenience as time becomes more precious, and work-life balance dominates the conversations of many corporate HR departments. Those employers that can help employees achieve the ideal balance should be able to reap huge rewards in recruitment, retention and productivity.”
