Fleet Evolution promotes benefits of salary sacrifice
The firm says that although it believes that this form of funding has been much publicised, the true advantages that it offers of going greener, cutting company costs and providing staff with a tax-efficient benefit are not clearly understood.
Managing director Andrew Leech said: 'The winners are drivers, the company and, notably, the environment.
'For instance, if a driver were to take a typical mid-range car, such as a VW Passat, the company would save more than £1,000 a year in tax and NI, and the employee would make an even greater saving (subject to mileage),' explained Leech.
As salary sacrifice schemes incentivise the take-up of lower-emission cars, there are huge potential benefits fin terms of cutting emissions too.
'On average, we are supplying vehicles which are emitting a third less CO2 than the vehicles which they are replacing. In fact, 87% of the firm's orders are for vehicles that emit less than 120g/km of CO2,' Leech added.
He also said that switching to salary sacrifice can be hassle-free: 'We find that many companies feel that such an arrangement would be far too complex to set up and police. But the truth is, it's simple, providing you get the process right, and your partner has the technology to support, and manage the scheme for you. Thanks to companies like ours, businesses are untangling the bureaucracy of salary sacrifice.'
Fleet Evolution says that it's so keen to highlight the benefits of salary sacrifice that it is give free initial reviews to all qualifying companies and will implement the scheme for free during June. For more details, contact the company on 0844 848 3455 or [email protected]
