Fleet Assist partners with CarweB to supply vehicle technical data to leasing firms

CarweB has produced a bespoke package of mechanical information for Fleet Assist clients. Linked to a vehicle’s registration number, the range of data available includes: service schedules, specific repair times as stated by vehicle manufacturers, original equipment parts data and pricing and access to service bulletins issued by manufacturers and typically only available to franchise dealers.

Previously CarweB’s core market garages, workshops and fast fit centres. The new agreement with Fleet Assist introduces CarweB’s wealth of technical data to the contract hire and leasing sector.

Sam Wallace, vehicle technical data sales manager at CarweB, said: “We have built a bespoke product for Fleet Assist and its customers. The data empowers maintenance controllers in both Fleet Assist and its contract hire and leasing company clients to have critical information at their fingertips in real-time.

“Fleet Assist occupies a unique position in the contract hire and leasing industry and required a specific solution. As a result, Fleet Assist in consultation with customers has cherry-picked the essential vehicle maintenance data required from our comprehensive menu of information.

“We have then taken their data requirements and produced a Fleet Assist branded solution that delivers a full overview of everything connected with the service, maintenance and repair requirements of every vehicle on a contract hire and leasing company’s fleet.”

Vincent St Claire, commercial director, Fleet Assist, said: “Cost control and vehicle downtime management are both critical to contract hire and leasing companies and their customers. The data that we are now able to provide through our agreement with CarweB gives maintenance controllers total visibility of the work required, the time it will take and the cost for every job.”
