Fleet Assist appoints finance director

Fleet Assist has appointed Carl Blott as its finance director in line with plans for further growth.

Carl Blott, finance director, Fleet Assist

Blott, who has a 25-year motor industry career, has taken on the role full-time after carrying out the job on a contract basis since November last year.

He leads a four-strong finance department and joins Fleet Assist’s senior management team alongside managing director Vincent St Claire, chief information officer Jonathan Smith, head of network services Chris Crow, and Karen Ewer, head of business development.

His appointment to the Fleet Assist, which provides specialist supply chain management services to contract hire and leasing companies and rental operators, follows the firm’s recent move to a new headquarters in Huntingdon, which bring significant additional space to expand as well as improved access to a wealth of potential staff to ensure it can continue to evolve its customer service focused delivery.

Blott has worked in both the motor vehicle franchise network and contract hire and leasing sector including spells at Lex and Pendragon. He most recently spent eight years at Tusker, initially as head of finance before being appointed head of business transformation.

Blott said: “One of my key objectives is to bring Fleet Assist’s award-winning software ‘Atlas’, which has functionality that includes providing a wealth of SMR data analytics and business intelligence in real-time to customers, and finance systems together.

“Further integration will result in even greater levels of reporting that will prepare Fleet Assist for the continued expansion of its services. I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead. It promises to be an exciting time for the business.”
