Fiat 500 gains 99g/km ‘Eco’ model

The Eco variant – which joins the new 500 1.3 MultiJet II diesel – is fitted with efficiency technologies including a smart alternator, improved underbody aerodynamics and low rolling resistance 15-inch tyres, as well as Start & Stop, which is standard across the 500 range.

As a result, the official CO2 emissions figure for the Fiat 500 1.2 ‘Eco’ drops from 110 to 99g/km, cutting the annual road tax bill from £20 to £0 and reducing BiK tax liability from 17% to 14% compared to the standard 1.2 69hp model.

Official combined fuel economy figure also improves for the new ‘Eco’ model from 60.1mpg to 65.7mpg.

The new Eco model is available in Pop Star and Lounge trim levels and is priced at £100 more than the standard models. OTR prices start from £11,865 OTR and £14,515 for the convertible version.
