Facelifted Infiniti Q50 gains new range-topping engine and handling upgrades
The new 395bhp 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo direct injection unit brings 350lb.ft and uses a number of new features that make it the cleanest and most efficient V6 that Infiniti has ever offered. The new unit joins the existing 2.0-litre turbo, 2.2-litre diesel and hybrid engines.
Also making its debut is the company’s latest Direct Adaptive Steering, designed to bring increased steering feel and feedback, which are said to be more similar to that of a conventional steering system. Settings are activated via the Q50’s Drive Mode Selector (DMS) and cover ‘Personal’, ‘Standard’, ‘Snow’, ‘Eco’, ‘Sport’, and – new for the 2016 Q50 model – ‘Sport+’.
The new Q50 also features Infiniti’s Dynamic Digital Suspension (DDS) for the first time, which offers a range of settings, with Sport or Sport+ modes providing firmer handling.
The new Infiniti Q50 will go on sale in selected markets later in 2016.
