Facelifted Citroën C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso bring new tech

Launched in 2013, the second-generation C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso have been updated for 2016 with a new front end shared by both models for the first time, as well as 3D-effect rear lights as standard and new 17-inch alloy wheels. Other changes see a black two-tone roof available on the C4 Picasso five-seat and a new silver-coloured roof bar option for Grand C4 Picasso, as well as three new body colours.

The interior brings a new 3D Citroën Connect Nav system, which is combined with an updated 7-inch touchscreen, while other new technologies include an optional hands-free tailgate and safety features such as Speed Limit Sign Recognition and Recommendation, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop Function, Active Lane Departure Warning, Active Safety Brake, Driver Attention Alert and Active Blind Spot Monitoring.

Under the bonnet, the line-up brings two new powertrain options, including the PureTech 130 S&S with the EAT6 automatic gearbox for both models. This brings official combined cycle fuel consumption for both the five and seven-seat models of 55.4mpg and CO2 emissions of 115g/km. Also new is the PureTech 110 S&S six-speed manual model for the five-seat version only.

The new Citroën C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso will go on sale in the UK on 1 September 2016. Order books will open in June.
