EV specialist joins Evolt in Scotland

Electric vehicle charge point supplier Evolt has appointed Stephen Rennie, a foremost specialist in low carbon and sustainable transport, as business development manager – Scotland.

Stephen Rennie of Evolt

Stephen Rennie helped establish EST as industry experts in the low carbon vehicle sector in Scotland

Rennie has eminent experience in the low carbon industry including eight years with the Energy Saving Trust (EST), which included managing the delivery of millions of pounds of grant-funded schemes for the installation of EV charge points.

More recently he has been consulting on the issue of alternative fuels and wider sustainable transport for Transport & Travel Research, managing projects on the European-wide ZeEUS electric bus project, car-club feasibility, the viability of compressed natural gas (CNG) and biodiesel use for the Mayor’s Biodiesel Programme in London.

“By building successful working relationships with the various EV stakeholders, which include Central and Local Government, Transport Scotland, businesses and consumers, we can continue to place Evolt at the forefront of the charge point market in Scotland,” Rennie said.

His recruitment follows Evolt’s recent appointment to EST’s Scotland-wide framework agreement to supply EV charge points across the country.

Commenting on Rennie’s experience and industry knowledge, Justin Meyer, general manager of Evolt, said: “He has proven to be a serious influencer in the Scottish EV charge point market ever since Transport Scotland began offering grants in 2011.

“We are confident that he can use that in-depth knowledge and passion to ensure Evolt continues to be the number one charge point supplier in Scotland.”
