Europe’s most sustainable printer chooses Volvo’s XC90 T8 hybrid

Oxford-based green printing company Seacourt Print furthered its commitment to sustainable business operations recently as its directors took delivery of two new Volvo XC90 T8 Twin Engine models.

ClimateCare recently certified Seacourt as Beyond Carbon Neutral, meaning it actually gives more back to the planet than it takes out. So when it came to replacing its vehicles, Seacourt directors Gareth and Nick Dinnage chose a car that would be as kind to the planet as they are – the Volvo XC90 T8 Hybrid.

As a zero-waste business, Gareth Dinnage reckons there was nothing to compare to the Volvo XC90 T8 Twin Engine: “Energy use and emissions were crucial factors for us. Our cars also needed to look great, perform well and be practical for our busy lives. We test drove the XC90s and didn’t look any further.”

Seacourt continually invests in industry-leading technology and processes to achieve a positive impact on the planet and its XC90s have little dependence on fossil fuels, running primarily on recycled energy sourced from Seacourt and Gareth and Nick’s homes.

During an average working week, Nick’s XC90 runs on 90% renewable energy commuting to and from the office. With additional business mileage from attending meetings outside the car’s battery range, Gareth’s XC90 runs on around 70% re-used energy.

Volvo developed its hybrid XC90 T8 Twin Engine to be as environmentally friendly as possible. Thanks to an efficient 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine combined with a powerful electric motor, the XC90 T8 achieves CO2 emissions of just 49g/km, helping reduce Seacourt’s carbon footprint.

“We’re very proud to be driving XC90s because they support our commitment to futureproofing our business by being sustainable in our operations. They’re real winners in every way – we love them, our customers love them and they’re the perfect eco-friendly business companion,” adds Gareth.
