Europcar reveals new ToMyCar rental app

The rental specialist will once again be the official Mobility Partner at the event and will showcase its ToMyCar initiative. Currently being trialled in the UK, the app is designed to short-cut the time taken to pick up a hire car and enables customers to book, unlock and drive their hire car using their smartphone.

The ToMyCar app provides a map, highlighting the pick-up location of the vehicle allowing customers to go straight to their hire car. They are then able to access their vehicle using their downloaded key via their smartphone. And any vehicle damage can be recorded by the customer and reported via the ToMyCar app, before they open the doors and begin their journey.

The service is available from the Europcar Mobility Centre at London ExCeL – the home of WTM London – as well as Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh airports. Once the reservation is made, travellers receive a confirmation email, plus an email with a link to download the ToMyCar app for their mobile device, along with their login and passwords.
