Europcar publishes whitepaper on mobile devices

Dubbed ‘Future Mobility’, the guide sets out the latest figures on mobile workforces. In 2015, 37% of the world’s workforce will be mobile and by 2017, 50% of employers will require employees to use their own devices for work.

The 11-page guide covers the challenges, such as security and how to overcome them, as well as outlining the benefits, such as increased flexibility and productivity, as well as reduced costs associated with office space.

Ken McCall, managing director, Europcar UK Group, commented: “Business travel is expected to increase 6.6% in 2015. Added to this, more and more staff expect to be able to work remotely, so businesses need to consider how they can reap the benefits of a mobile workforce.

“Do you allow staff to use their own devices and how will that impact security? What are the benefits and will it work for your business? Our Future Mobility guide helps our corporate customers understand the most secure, cost-effective and flexible ways to give staff access to the business’s network, while they’re on the move. As Europe’s leader in car hire services, Europcar continues to deliver innovative solutions that meet the changing needs of business travellers and our corporate customers.”
