Europcar adds 300 Volvo V60s to UK fleet

Europcar has become the first rental brand to put the new Volvo V60 compact executive estate (see road test here) on its fleet.

Europcar has added 300 Volvo V60s to its Model Choice fleet

The rental giant has added 300 V60 models to its UK fleet of Model Choice vehicles, giving business and leisure travellers access to class-leading boot space that rises from 529 litres to 1,441 with the rear seats down, along with extensive legroom front and back due to a 10cm increase in the wheelbase.

Equipment includes Volvo’s intelligent City Safety suite of active and preventative safety systems, which feature automatic emergency braking, which can detect vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists and large animals in front of the vehicle.

Gary Smith, managing director of Europcar Mobility Group in the UK, said: “The Volvo V60 offers Europcar customers the best of both worlds. It brings style and safety alongside luxury and practicality. And it is spacious enough for all the family’s luggage while also being premium enough for transporting colleagues or clients.

“Volvo has grown into one of the most desired premium brands in the UK. At Europcar Mobility Group we are committed to constantly reviewing our fleet, ensuring our customers have access to the best mobility solutions for their needs. The V60 shows our commitment to this and is sure to be a popular addition to the fleet.”

The Volvo V60 is being provided as part of Europcar’s Model Choice range, which enables customers to request a specific make or model when making a reservation and is available from locations including Heathrow, Gatwick and other major UK airports along with London Kings Cross.
