Morgan Sindall Group has put the entire Volvo Car UK model range on its user-chooser list in response to staff demand.

The entire Volvo car range is now available to the wider Morgan Sindall Group’s c. 3,000 company car drivers and cash for car takers

The business, which has around 3,000 company car drivers and cash for car takers, added Volvo after a survey of its employees at the Construction and Infrastructure division highlighted demand for the Swedish brand.

Jonathan Hall, plant and transport director at Morgan Sindall Infrastructure’s in-house plant and transport company Magnor Plant, explained: “The whole process was driven by our staff. We asked our Construction & Infrastructure division what manufacturers they wanted on the company car list and they said Volvo. Six months later, after a seamless procurement process, we’ve been able to meet demand.

“The fact that Volvo’s entire model range has electrified powertrain options is helping us towards achieving our ‘road to zero’ emissions goal.”

Volvo’s safety credentials and low emissions on the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) test were also central factors in the decision.

Working closely with the Doncaster-based Riverside Volvo dealership and Lex Autolease, 12 vehicles have already been delivered with a further six on order.
