The branch is said to be significantly bigger and benefits from a more convenient location than the previous site, which has led to a reduction of up to 10 minutes in shuttle times to the airport terminals.

The new location is the latest enhancement to Enterprise's network of airport locations, which includes onsite branches at 14 major UK and Ireland airports. It also forms part of Enterprise's broader network of over 350 locations throughout the UK – reportedly the largest vehicle rental network in the country.

Khaled Shahbo, managing director for the London and South East region, commented: 'This is a positive step forward for Enterprise at Heathrow. Where we were previously located was less convenient for our customers, the new branch location allows us to provide an improved service to all our customers, both holiday makers and business renters.'

The new branch has a larger lobby with Wi-Fi equipped rest area and a more prominent exterior to make it easier for customers to identify the returns area for their vehicles.

Mr Shahbo concluded: 'We place a great deal of value in being close to our customers and providing them with a service that's as convenient as possible; a mission this new branch is helping us to achieve. It also improves our network of London airport locations which currently includes onsite branches at Luton, Stanstead and Gatwick airports.'
