A fleet of four vehicles, including two Hyundai i10, one Toyota Yaris and a Ford Fiesta, will be made available around Stockport’s town hall, providing cost-effective rental travel options for local businesses, residents and visitors requiring a vehicle for rentals as short as an hour, Enterprise has announced.

The programme is the latest offering by Enterprise Car Club where both residents and councils share vehicles. Select council employees will have exclusive access to the vehicles between 7am-7pm on weekdays and outside of these hours any member of the public can use them.

The programme will bring benefits to Stockport Council, including providing council workers involved in the programme with an alternative to their private vehicles, relieving pressure on parking around the offices, and reducing local carbon emissions, Enterprise claimed.
