Engineius bolsters corporate fleet work with AA Driving School deal

By / 3 years ago / Latest News / 1 Comment

The AA Driving School is using fast-growing vehicle movement specialist Engineius to provide critical support for its fleet of instructor vehicles.

Engineius is providing a first-class delivery service for AA instructors that also caters for the wide number of preparation centres that the driving school uses

The AA has one of the largest national driving schools with a network of instructors across the UK and a 2,000-strong fleet, recently expanded with the Ford Puma. The business signed up Engineius on the back of an expansion plan that sets out to deliver a digitally focused customer experience across the fleet.

Appointed last year on a sole supply deal following a short pilot period, Engineius has already delivered on the digital capabilities the AA Driving School was seeking.

Nick Falconer, the AA Driving School’s fleet manager, said: “We have been delighted with Engineius – not only because the size of their driver network gives us a one-stop shop for all movements, but the quality of their service has also satisfied our exacting standards.”

In particular, Engineius is providing a first-class delivery service for instructors that also caters for the wide number of preparation centres that the driving school uses.

The instructors receive an email from Engineius, which gives them the opportunity to book a convenient handover date and time while live tracking functionality enables the fleet operations team to track the delivery on the day right to their home – also enabling the AA Driving School to closely monitor vehicle delivery performance.

Engineius’ sole supply remit also includes emergency exchange movements, providing AA Driving School instructors with a replacement courtesy vehicle to their door within 24 hours of reporting an incident.

The AA Driving School is also benefiting from Engineius’ tie-up with Smart Fleet, which is providing refurbishment, preparation and storage facilities for the fleet.

Engineius, which spoke to Fleet World last month about its work to become the ‘go-to’ vehicle movement provider, said the tie-up with the AA Driving School had further bolstered its solution for corporate fleets.

Commercial director Calum Slowther commented: “Nick has a very clear vision of where he wants to take the AA Driving School fleet operation and we’re using the challenge to drive all components of our offering forward, including our partnership with Smart Fleet Solutions.”
