Emma Loveday joins DriveTech as new business development manager

DriveTech has appointed Emma Loveday to the role of new business development manager in the commercial fleet business area, drawing on her strong background in road risk management.

Emma Loveday, new business development manager at DriveTech

Loveday brings more than eight years’ experience of fleet on the client side, including at Mitie Group PLC – where she won two Brake Fleet Safety Awards – and most recently at Thames Water Utilities where she was responsible for the management of the business’ occupational road risk for more than 3,000 employees, covering a range of vehicles including 4x4s, tankers, plant machinery and LCVs.

Her time at Thames Water Utilities saw her achieve a 20% reduction in vehicle incidents, resulting in significant reduction of accident and insurance premium costs and improving road safety awareness and the overall road safety culture of the business.

Commenting on her new role, Loveday said: “I am delighted to be joining DriveTech at such an important time for our industry and an exciting time in the company’s growth. We are uniquely placed to help our clients cope with rapid innovation and industry developments, all within a world class safety culture. I look forward to using my past experience and client insight to help deliver new business opportunities as we continue to improve road safety for commercial fleet operators in the UK.”

Nick Butler, fleet director at DriveTech, added: “I am delighted that DriveTech has attracted someone of Emma’s calibre to the business as we enter an exciting phase of growth. Emma’s experience strengthens our sales proposition and her expert knowledge will add value to our customers.”
