DVLA appoints interim chief executive

Julie Lennard is to take on the role of interim chief executive at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) from 19 March as Oliver Morley moves to the Pension Protection Fund.

Lennard has previously worked at Which? and The National Archives, and has been DVLA’s director of strategy, policy and communications since August 2014.

Department for Transport Permanent Secretary Bernadette Kelly said: “I am sure Julie’s experience and knowledge of DVLA and its customers will be invaluable as DVLA continues its drive towards becoming a hub for digital motoring.”

The DVLA said recruitment for a permanent replacement for Morley would start shortly.
